Fund Summary

The fund invests 80% of its net assets in equity securities in the form of common stock of U.S. small-sized growth companies. BAMCO, Inc. ("BAMCO" or the "Adviser") defines small-sized companies as those, at the time of purchase, with market capitalizations up to the largest market cap stock in the Russell 2000 Growth Index at reconstitution, or companies with market capitalizations up to $2.5 billion, whichever is larger.

Management Information

Cliff Capital joined Baron Capital in 1997 as a portfolio manager and was named co-chief investment officer in 2020. He has 40 years of research experience. From 1984 to 1996, he worked at HPB Associates as a securities analyst and fund manager; he was named general partner in 1991. Cliff graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Government in 1981 and from Columbia Law School with a J.D. in 1984.
